Just curious how you feel about the Air Jordan 2012 Lites from a design perspective. I remember when the Air Jordan 2012′s (non lites?) came out in Feb we had a riveting discussion about the Air Jordan line and where flagship footwear was headed.
Thoughts?
Good question, I would say aesthetically I prefer the standard 2012 at this point. Primarily because the color blocking is tonal on the bulk of the releases. The future version of Lite’s have a more tonal palette so I may switch my opinion but at the same time the materials aren’t as great as the standards. So I guess I will stick with the standard. Lol.
What about you? Which do you like better?
Oh Standards w/o a DOUBT!.. there are Tonal patterns of the Lites releasing? I’ve seen some colorways based on the Marvels Avengers film release: aka: Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, that look just awful.
Also, that overall gloss gives the shoe a very cheap/ sandwich bag look and feel.
I was fortunate to pick up a pair of Year of the Dragon standards which is a beautiful shoe in person. If my wallet would have allowed I’d have also picked up a pair of the Grey/ Yellows.

Like I said the gloss is not nearly as dramatic in person. You should seriously check them out when the tonal colors come in the fall.
The Year of the Dragons were dope but I am happy with my Grey/Volt as they are more consistent I think. I like to wear them one day and then my volt Lunar Grands the next day. Feel like I get the full effect. lol
Oh man! the Lunar Grands Switch up?! NICE! I saw awhile back somewhere ( I can’t remember where) That Nike was working on putting some Lunar Foam bottoms on some saddle shoes. The image I saw was black and white upper with Pink midsole Amazing!
But yeah will def take a look at the tonal AJs for fall.
